Brown Lacewings -
Micromus tasmaniae

The larva of brown lacewing is a predator of a wide range of pests including aphids, moth eggs and small larvae, scales and whiteflies.

Brown lacewing larva does not load rubbish on its back like green lacewing.

Brown lacewing eggs are laid singly on the underside of leaves (not on stalks like green lacewings)

General description

Adults, 12 mm long with long lace like wings. Eggs, oblong, typically laid under leaves. Larvae, large pinchers for attacking prey.

How to use

Lacewings are supplied as eggs from which larvae hatch shortly after arrival.
Place the lacewing eggs through infected plants.
